The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi marks a major evolution of the classic UNO platform, introducing a powerful 32-bit architecture alongside integrated wireless connectivity. It combines the Renesas RA4M1 (R7FA4M1AB3CFM) microcontroller running a 48 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor with an onboard ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N8 WiFi module for seamless IoT capability. With significantly expanded memory compared to previous UNO boards, the R4 WiFi offers 256 kB Flash, 32 kB SRAM, and 8 kB EEPROM, providing more space for advanced applications and complex projects.
The RA4M1 operates at 5V DC, while the ESP32-S3 runs at 3.3V DC, with reliable communication between the two handled via an onboard logic-level translator for smooth integration.
The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi delivers enhanced performance, wireless functionality, and expanded flexibility making it ideal for IoT, automation, robotics, and advanced electronics projects.
