Product Description

The Bluetooth expansion board plugs directly into the main control board, you can extend Bluetooth communication capabilities. The Bluetooth expansion board using the hardware serial ports, can be used with other without using the serial port expansion board stacking - such as Ethernet expansion board, SD expansion boards. Expansion board provides two switches. One is to select a compatible level - 5V or 3.3V. General direct support expansion board 5V level.

This Bluetooth shield is a serial port Bluetooth module (Slave) breakout board, and it is compatible with Arduino,  you can directly plug in with Arduino and use the UART port for Bluetooth communication, this will work as well.
