MOPA laser marking machine is a fiber laser engraving system with main oscillation power amplification. MOPA refers to main oscillation power amplification. MOPA laser marking machine can easily black out alumina and aluminum alloy, and it can also be used on stainless steel and titanium. Colour patterns are marked on metal materials such as chrome, chromium, etc., but it is difficult for other laser equipment to do this. MOPA laser marking machine adopts a direct electric modulation semiconductor laser as the fiber laser of the seed source (MOPA) scheme, which has good laser characteristics and good pulse shape control ability. MOPA laser marking machine outputs laser light from MOPA fiber laser with adjustable pulse width, and realizes marking function through a high-speed scanning galvanometer system. With high-quality laser beam, low cost of use. It is suitable for alumina blackening, stainless steel coloring, black plastic whitening, white plastic blackening, and other fields.

Please note: The Mopa Fiber laser cannot color mark on shiny silver. It can do materials like stainless steel, metal, etc.

The laser pattern fonts are environmentally friendly and meet ROHS standards. Compared with the common laser marking machine, the outstanding feature of the MOPA laser marking machine is that the pulse width is adjustable and the frequency range is large. Generally, the pulse width of the laser marking machine is fixed at about 200ns, and the frequency is 1-400kHz. MOPA marking machine has an adjustable pulse width of 2-500ns. This equipment is designed with an integrated frame structure in the entire structure. It runs very stably during use, and there is no noise. The operator can also know the specific advantages when operating so that it can be used more reasonably. MOPA laser marking machine is suitable for mobile phone back covers, iPads, aluminum blackening, mobile phone buttons, plastic transparent buttons, electronic components, integrated circuits (IC), electrical appliances, communication products, sanitary ware, tool accessories, knives, glasses and watches, Jewelry, auto parts, luggage buckles, cooking utensils, stainless steel products, and many other industries. 

MOPA laser marking machine can change the colour of the surface layer of the material by adjusting the laser beam, so as to achieve the purpose of colour marking. Under the action of the laser, the metal surface produces a laser thermal effect. Through the laser thermal effect, it is obtained that the laser energy density is proportional to the film thickness. As the laser energy increases, the colour of the metal surface shows regular changes: yellow, red, blue, green until green gradually darkens. By controlling the laser energy density, the desired color can be produced on metal materials such as stainless steel, chromium, and titanium. 

We currently offer the 30W, 60W, 80W. We can also arrange the 100W on special request. The 175mm lens is recommended for best results. This is the latest M7 model. We can add the 2.5D / 3D effect laser capability at an additional cost as the board version will change. 

What is 2.5D / 3D Laser Capability: 

From the technical part, we called it 2.5D because the laser head is still with a 2D laser head, but 2.5D with a motorized lifting pillar. The Galvo head can be controlled by software. the software can control laser head movement when the machine working, so it can achieve 3D engraving. it means 3D laser, Z axis mirror inside the laser head to move back and forth; 2.5D, Z axis stands for the third mirror to move automatically.

2.5D laser engraving machine can finish all 2D laser work and can make 3D laser engraving on a flat plate. 2.5D CANNOT make 3D engraving on curved plates or parts.  

The 2.5D / 3D Fiber lasers do not support lightburn software, so you need to use EZCAD 3.0 as a design and laser software.

The lifting pillar of the 2.5D laser machine must be motorized type. Because the laser head needs to re-adjust the focus during engraving, the 2.5D laser engraving machine shown from below youtube link:

Fiber Laser Metal Plate Fixture

This is the fiber laser fixture used for fiber laser marking machines. 

This is one of the optional parts for a fiber laser marking machine. It can be used to fix metal sheets for laser marking machines to do long time engraving cutting work, to avoid too hot metal sheet surfaces not being flat. It is widely used in engraving cutting work of jewelry materials like brass, silver, and gold sheet.



Lightburn Software for Fiber Laser Marking Machine MOPA

  • Purchase this if you need a LightBurn license for a galvo laser (fiber or CO2) and you do not already have a LightBurn license key. If you already have a LightBurn license for another type of machine, you can simply add galvo support to your existing key, contact us if this is the case.
  • This is a license for LightBurn that supports EZCad2-based galvo lasers (fiber or CO2) connected with a USB cable.  The software works on Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
  • LightBurn is the layout, editing, and control software for your laser cutter. With LightBurn you can:

  • Please note that LightBurn does not support the stock M2-Nano board in the popular K40 laser. This board does not offer control of power through software - we recommend upgrading the board to take full advantage of LightBurn.
